Monolith Brewing is proud to offer our own custom Feather Bowling Experience! Our taproom now features a first of its kind 20' feather bowling table custom built by our friends at Fin Art. Feather Bowling is free to play, so come by and bring your friends to engage in some friendly competition! Rules are posted below!
Feather Bowling combines the best elements of Shuffleboard, Curling, and Bocce!
Feather Bowling Rules
1. Teams flip a coin to determine who decides whether they want to roll first or second
2. The team that goes first proceeds to roll (not slide) ALL 6 wheels, trying to get as close to the feather as possible. A common strategy is to set up blockers as well to deter the other team from getting close to the feather.
3. The second team will roll their wheels to get closer to the feathers either by knocking their opponents wheels out of the way, or using the slope of the lane to get around the obstacles.
4. Wheels that leave the turf or fail to pass the half-court are removed from play
5. One point is awarded for each wheel closer than the opponent's closest wheel
6. Whichever team wins the round will go first next round
7. The winning team is decided by whomever scores 10 or more points first.
8. Most importantly, NO DRINKS ON THE TABLE!!! Please use the provided cupholders or nearby ledges to place your drinks.
